SELF CLEANING FUNCTION
Your iron will give the best result and last
longer if you apply ‘Self-Cleaning’ regularly
(once or twice a month) to remove any
scale or impurities.
Step 1.
Set the Steam Selector Dial to the
DRY
position.
Step 2.
Fill the water tank up to the MAX FILL water
level with the water filling beaker supplied.
Step 3.
Place the iron on its heel.
Step 4.
Set the Temperature Dial to ‘Linen’ (max).
Step 5.
Plug in at the power outlet, and switch on
at the power socket.
Step 6.
Allow the iron to heat up until the heating
Indicator Light turns off.
Step 7.
Turn the power off and remove the plug
from the power outlet.
Step 8.
Hold the iron horizontally over the sink.
Step 9.
Turn and hold the Steam Selector Dial to
the Self Clean position.
NOTE:
Once you have done this, it is
normal for a little water to remain
in the water tank because the iron’s
Anti-Drip system may prevent the
tank being completely emptied.
This will not affect its ironing
performance. Repeat the cleaning
process if the iron still contains a lot
of impurities.
!
ONLY USE THE SELF CLEAN
FEATURE WHEN YOU WANT
TO ACTIVATE THE SELF-
CLEANING SYSTEM. DO NOT
HOLD THE STEAM SELECTOR
DIAL TO THE SELF CLEAN
POSITION WHILST IRONING.
!
BOILING WATER AND STEAM
WILL EMIT FROM THE HOLES IN
THE SOLEPLATE. IMPURITIES
AND SCALE (IF ANY) WILL BE
FLUSHED OUT. MOVE THE IRON
FORWARDS AND BACKWARDS
WHILE THIS HAPPENS.
